Through the leaves, into the green
Past the trees, so tall, serene
Into the wild ,you do walk
As above birds, they sing and talk
Under your feet , you hear the sound
Of the leaves, crying on the ground
Crying to once again rise up
Fill sweet natures loving cup
Provide a shield, under the skies
Place some beauty in all eyes
This tree is in the field next to the pitch where I play cricket. I have always loved the "s" shape of the tree and I love seeing how it changes through the Spring and Summer.
THis is the first shot of the tee since I received my 24mm pancake lens for Christmas.
The infamous lone tree at Llyn Padarn. We arrived 45 mins before sunrise to find ourselves 4th in the queue! There was one tog who'd firmly planted his tripod in prime position and refused to move! I despise that behaviour.... So here's my favourite image from Padarn albeit it slightly off centre....

"... and it stands in the grey of the City, no time for pity..." as the song goes.

Cream's "World of Pain" instantly comes to mind when I walk past Moorgate in London Wall. This magnificent oaktree, however, evokes no pity - only admiration. It copes very well in the middle of tall office buildings and heavy traffic. Busy Square-Mile bees walk past oblivious, never raising their heads to marvel at this 'roof'...
Tree Swallows are really striking birds, actually all of the swallows are quite striking. The problem is to get them to not move so much to get an image.
Right behind the tree - The building of the Brotherhood of Blackheads is one of the most iconic buildings of Old Riga (Vecrīga). The tallest building is St. Peter's Church is a Lutheran church in Riga.
In June 2010, the Spruce Summer Garden Festival was held in Riga. The festival was dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Christian tradition of installing a decorated Christmas tree.
Variously decorated Christmas trees were installed in four districts of the Old Riga. They stood until the beginning of New 2011.

On the way back from Hawes in Wensleydale, on a blustery day, the sun is setting, I spot these lonely young trees on the top of a hill, backlit beautifully and in a golden glory-light of the first and last sun of the day...

I am not sure why these windbreak trees were being cut down, they don't look like ash trees which have been devastated by the emerald ash borer in this area. Maybe just improving the sunrise view?
don't let my cerebral title make you think this image was taken in Essex, or Yorkshire for that matter. No this is from the Strath region of Skye. Thank you to Skyeweasel for finding this location and thank you to Brad Eide for the company. Most excellent to meet you after all this time. For the geologists and petrologists, I'm naming this tree Clint.
I like the shape of this tree on the edge of Lake Michigan at Sheboygan's King's Park. Yes, that is lake fog in the baclground.
A grey tree frog (Hyla versicolor). When young, this frog is a mottled green color. At some point, it changes from green to grey as it becomes an adult frog. This guy was one of the smaller frogs we've seen, but was already all grey. They can also vary their color depending on what their sitting on from light to dark.
This guy was found in our clumped up old grill cover. I leave it on the edge of the deck at night, and overnight, the frogs sometime climb in for shelter. In the morning, we check to see if any visitors have shown up!
